Turquoise blue water in front the cave entrance.
Cave Tubing and Zipline
Start by gently floating down stream through the caves, witnessing (with the help of your headlamp), schools of eyeless cave fish, stalactite and stalagmites that hang like giant chandelier's from the cave ceiling.
As you make it out of the cave, you take a lunch break and prepare for more adventure as the zipline awaits.
Deep in the rainforest, this tour starts with kitting up followed by a short hike to the initial zip line. After a safety briefing you get your first taste of zipping. This line is short to get you used to the equipment. After that you fly through the canopy on various lengths of zip, some fast, some very fast.
Cave Tubing and Belize Zoo
Start by gently floating down stream through the caves, witnessing (with the help of your headlamp), schools of eyeless cave fish, stalactite and stalagmites that hang like giant chandelier's from the cave ceiling. You will enjoy amazing giant melting cake or ice-cream like formations. Stop for lunch and head to the best little zoo in the world. The Belize Zoo is the oldest wildlife rescue and rehabilitation facility in Belize. In keeping with its origins, the animals here are rescued, confiscated from the illegal wildlife trade by law enforcement, or transferred from other rehab and zoological facilities. The habitats designed for the animals reflect natural settings and provide an immersive educational experience for visitors.
Cahal Pech and Barton Creek
The site was a palatial, hilltop home for an elite Maya family, and though the most major construction dates to the Classic period, evidence of continuous habitation has been dated to as far back as 1200 BCE during the Early Middle Formative period (Early Middle Preclassic), making Cahal Pech one of the oldest recognizably Mayan Sites in Western Belize.
