Cave Tubing

Nohoch Che’en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve is made up of an extensive network of limestone cave systems north of Belmopan City and is very  popular for Cave tubing. The Caves Branch River flows through nineteen caves, providing an ideal condition for tubing through an inner tube or allowing for exploration of side passages that leads to other caves, such as the spectacular Crystal Cave which the name says it all, you will enjoy amazing giant melting cake or ice-cream like formations. The tour takes approximately 2hrs, cave tubing includes a pleasant hiking under the rain forest canopy, the same forest that witnessed the rise and fall of the Maya civilization, you will enjoy the natural umbrella of all the huge trees that stand like monuments, an ecosystem that is filled of life thriving together. Once we get to the point where we begin cave tubing, you will have the time to cool down yourself in the turquoise blue waters, while your tour guide links the tubes together to ensure safety for everyone, you then start by gently floating down stream through the caves, witnessing (with the help of your headlamp), schools of eyeless cave fish, stalactite and stalagmites that hang like giant chandelier's from the cave celling ones outside of the cave enjoy the river tubing look up you might see the toucans or hawks and eagles souring up in the skies, on the riverbanks we can see wildlife like Aguti, Iguanas, Howler Monkeys, Spider Monkeys, and lots of birds. This is an ideal trip for the entire family. Please note there is a minimum height required of 40 inches - 3 feet 4 inches.
